When something unspeakably awful happens, as it did not long ago, apparently the new normal is for people to launch into their preferred wingnut conspiracy theory on Twitter. Rather than engage with any of that ghastly nonsense or wait for more horrific pictures to come in from Boston, I’m going to pick up my kids and hug them for an extra hour.
My thoughts are with everyone living in or visiting Boston, as well as those who have family and friends in Boston. I’m done for today.
I really value speculation, personally. That human desire to process limited information quickly and make judgments is why people immediately assumed there were other bombs near hotels and began the process of dismantling them.
